Orthoshop was founded in 1999 by Dr M.V. Lucchesi, an orthodontist, in an effort to bring affordable prices to the orthodontic speciality. In 2003, after completing her BComm in Marketing and Management and working for three years in London, Silvana Jooste, Dr Lucchesi’s daughter took over as General Manager. She is currently assisted by her husband, Marius Jooste, who joined Orthoshop in 2010, and is responsible for National Sales. Josephine Sibanda recently joined the Orthoshop team in 2021.
